Overview
Maricopa Health Plan
(MHP) has been providing complete health care services to
families, moms and kids in Maricopa County for nearly 20
years.
In
October of 2005, Maricopa Integrated Health Systems (MIHS) and
The University of Arizona Health Plans (UAHP) entered into an
agreement for UAHP to manage MHP. This new
partnership will
allow UAHP to utilize
their 18+ years of highly successfull health
plan management experience to
ensure that MHP is the premier
plan in Maricopa County.

We
understand the need for complete and convenient health care
services that are close by and easy to use. You and your
family can be sure to get the care you need, when you need it. MHP offers members a vast
choice of doctors, dentists, hospitals, family health centers and
pharmacies throughout Maricopa County. When your doctor is not
available, MHP has urgent care, after hours and emergency
care services available for your use.
Healthy moms and
healthy babies are important to us. Our moms get
everything they need with MHP, from parenting, family planning and childbirth
education classes to prenatal care and nutritional
support. 
MHP cares about the health
and safety of your child. We are a
KidsCare provider and we can assist you
in coordinating health care for your child. Kids receive
regular doctor visits and well-child check ups, dental care and
immunizations. We want to make
sure that members are able to get to their appointments so MHP
offers transportation to doctor visits, when medically
necessary. We are also committed to ensuring that our
members receive culturally appropriate service and quality
care. To this end, we also provide translation
services. A Customer Care Representative can help
schedule an interpreter or a translator for medical
appointments through the use of the Language Line,
if needed, at no cost to the member.

Maricopa Health Plan is proud to have members with different languages and cultures.
As a member of MHP, you have access to a service that offers translation for 150
